The Internet is massive and apart from the learning curve it can be really confusing for new start ups to identify the best services. I can only recommend what I’ve tried and what has worked out well for me. So I’m going to recommend some things that I personally use and yes some of them will be affiliate links because I am an Internet Marketer. But I don’t mind if you check out the recommendations with a search instead of clicking on my affiliate links.
I started out buying cheap hosting from eBay and lost my sites when the hosting disappeared on me. I tried a couple of different companies besides but the company that I’m totally loyal to now is Hostgator who offer reliable, low cost hosting Rarely any problems but when there have been the assistants have been great with their help, certainly less stress than the other providers that I’ve used.
You can get some free hosting and use free blogging platforms at Blogger and WordPress etc. but it is better for your online business to use your own hosted space and just use those to link to and support your main site.
Domain Names – My favourite registrar is 123.reg.co.uk. I’ve been using them for over 10 years and find their control panel the easiest to use. I’ve also done well with my affiliate account. Namecheap is often the cheapest but it depends upon the domain name and the special offers are usually full price at the end of the first year.
Autoresponders – You are always advised to build a list because that can help build your income. To do that you need an autoresponder. There are free services around but the best services are paid for. I have used both of the 2 most popular services and have found them both excellent. They are Aweber and Get Response.
Forum – There are a lot of Internet marketing or online business forums but the one where I have learned the most, made the most contacts and done the most business is the Warrior Forum
Free ebooks and software – wrote about that recently on my Internet Marketing Blog and also where you can sell them free. You will also find lots more information on there and you are welcome to ask questions so check it out.
